Mountain High Resort
Mountain high’s website is used to both give information about the resort but also to give the skiers and snowboarders a place to post content and connect. Their site is mainly focused on young adults and teenagers since that is their biggest clients. On the main page there is a slideshow going of daily photos taken at the resort showcasing the local feel. There is also a news feed that lets everyone know all the events that will be taking place, deals on tickets, and any other important info like storms and fresh snow. Other links include daily conditions, photos and videos, tickets and passes, events, group sales, rentals & retail, lessons, trail maps, the faultline terrain park, directions, lodging, the forum, downloads, mountain info and employment. So pretty much anything you could possibly need to know about this resort is listed on the home page for easy navigation. The main multimedia objects that are listed are the photo and video forums, as well as live streaming cameras that are always running on the mountain. They come in handy when you want to see how the mountain is set up or how good the conditions are. The videos and photos however just help pump you up and let you relive the mountains experiences. Overall the navigation is extremely easy to use on Mt High’s website and anyone can operate it.
Cinemark Theaters
Cinemark theaters offer an online website to help you with all you movie needs. They can gear their site to be focused towards any age group they want depending on what the popular movies are at the time. Like currently the site is focused on young teens for the new twilight movie that was released, also adults for the movies 2012 and children with the movie Planet 51. So Cinemark has been able to connect with every age group. Some features of the site include a
search for local theaters where you can access your movie times and locations, also you can look for what’s playing that’s new. Other windows on the main page show movies that are coming soon, now showing, and how you can attain advance tickets so you don’t have to wait in the lines. A Navigational bar offers many more options such as tickets & show times, what’s new, cine’arts, XD-Extreme Digital, digital and real 3d locations, IMAX, international, theatre openings, concession offers/contests, concerts/special events, private events, gifts & discounts, advertise with us, corporate, investor relations, employment and last but not least contact us/info. Some multimedia elements include the movies trailers, and links to the movies pages where you can find even more info. You can also find the pictures that represent the movie. These all help the consumers figure out what movies they would like to see and when and where to go see them. This site is easy to navigate, however it is probably more suited for teenagers and up since it isn’t very children friendly without and adults help.
Best Buy
Best buy offers and online store for consumers that don’t like the hassle of going to the real store. This site is mainly focused on young adults and older since you must use some sort of ATM or credit card to purchase online. The main page offers a changing screen of different offers that they have and links you can click to go straight to those pages. There are also tabs at the bottom of the page that show you featured offers, outlet center and music movies and games. While the navigational bars with drop down menus that can bring you to pages specifically made for the type of product, these include TV& video, audio, cars & GPS, cameras & camcorders, computers, mobile phones and office, music, movies, and books, video games and gadgets, and home and appliances. Once you decide what page you are looking for the sites open up into a grid like form showing even more options of products. These then open up into information , 360 views, and specs on the products specified. All these options come in handy when shopping on this site, they give you the experience of shopping without having to actually be there.
